This painting of the smallest church in Kilkenny is created from an unusual angle. Normally seen from the front on John Street, I decided instead to take the back view in order to show the old church tucked in behind the present Priory. I also like the subtle coating of snow which fell that day on the location which introduced sharp contrasts into the composition.
